What is a Tornado Warning?
A tornado warning means a tornado has been sighted or that there is a strong indication on radar that a tornado is in progress. A tornado warning will tell you specifically what prompted it to be issued. Tornadoes can be confirmed by radar or visually. Use our tornado tracker map to see if a tornado might be headed your way.
